  • What do I need to know before attending a training class?
Be on time! Bring a copy of your dog's up-to-date vaccination records (Puppies must receive their first three sets of shots prior to attending a training class). Please contact your veterinarian to confirm that your puppy can start classes. Always have your dog on leash unless told otherwise. Your dog should be on a flat collar and a 6 foot regular leash. No retractable leashes will be permitted in class. For evening classes: Please hold off on feeding your dog dinner until after class. If you can skip at least part or all of your dog's meal, if will help immensely if they come to class hungry! Small easy-to-chew treats - like hotdogs cut into tiny pieces, cheese, or soft breakable treats. Wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes; please no open toed shoes. Please give your pup a potty break before class. You may use the grounds surrounding the facility. Please pick up after your pet and dispose of the waste.
  • What is the schedule for a typical training session?
Most classes are six weeks long, one day a week, and last one hour per session. Some class schedules may vary.
  • How do I register for a class?
To register for a class, simply browse from our available classes either by Class Type or Trainer. Currently, classes open for registration one month before the start date. We accept all major credit cards. If you are having trouble with booking or need assistance choosing the best class for you and your K9, please contact us!
  • How do I pay for my classes once I've filled out my registration form?
We accept all major credit and debit cards. Simply follow the prompts for completing your online registration and submit your payment information.
  • What should I bring with me to class?
Please bring your dog’s shot records, a regular collar, a 5-6ft leash, and some yummy treats or a toy if your dog is not treat-motivated. Please do not bring a retractable leash. Make sure your dog does not eat 2 hours before class starts so they are eager to work for treats.
  • Is there homework between training classes?
Yes! The most important thing any owner can do for their canine is to exercise and provide mental stimulation daily. You will receive homework tasks to complete daily which will help you and your dog maintain the lessons you learn in class.
  • Which shots do you require?
For dogs 16 weeks and older we require rabies, distemper/parvovirus, and bordetella shots to be up to date prior to starting class. If your puppy is younger than 16 weeks of age we require at least 3 out of the 4 rounds of puppy shots to be administered. You will not be able to register for a class if your K9's shots are not up to date. You will need to bring proof of your vaccination record to class.
  • Can I change or cancel my class?
You may change your booking to another class day/time if space is available, 24 hours prior to your class beginning. If you cancel prior to 24 hours before the start of class, there is a $5.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 24 hours before class begins will not be refunded. Please note that once class has begun, the class fee is non-refundable, non-transferable, and there are no make-up classes. Please keep in mind these policies when you sign up for a class as we cannot make any exceptions.
  • What if my dog must be spayed/neutered during my 6-week training session?
If your dog is scheduled to be spayed/neutered at any point during your registered training session, we highly recommend that you schedule between sessions or wait until the next session to sign up.
  • What if my dog is showing signs of aggression or reactivity?
In order to register for a group class, your dog should have no major reactivity or aggression towards people or other dogs. If they do, please contact us and we can refer you to a specialized trainer for aggressive dogs in the area. If your dog is low level to semi-reactive and you aren't sure what form, contact us so we can discuss if a group setting will work for you and your K-9 or if you need to be referred out. We appreciate your cooperation with this policy.
